SEN Teacher - Full‑Time, Long‑Term

Are you an experienced SEN Teacher who thrives in small‑group settings? Do you enjoy shaping personalised learning for pupils with ASD and ADHD? This long‑term role offers a stable, rewarding opportunity for the full academic year.

A supportive, inclusive primary setting in Stepney East London is seeking a confident SEN Teacher to lead teaching within a small inclusion room. You'll work closely with SLT, the SENCO and a team of skilled TAs to deliver high‑quality provision for learners with additional needs.

The Role

You'll be teaching a small group of pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs, delivering structured learning and targeted interventions. You'll also support reintegration into mainstream classes where appropriate, ensuring communication with staff and families remains consistent and clear.

Key Questions for You

  • Are you confident teaching small groups of pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs?
  • Can you deploy TAs effectively and model strong practice?
  • Are you comfortable liaising regularly with SLT, SENCO, parents and carers?
  • Do you follow safeguarding protocols accurately and report concerns immediately?
  • Can you commit to a full academic year in a long‑term role?
  • Do you have at least one year of UK SEN teaching experience?

Responsibilities

  • Delivering personalised learning and targeted interventions
  • Leading a small inclusion room with fewer than six pupils
  • Working closely with SLT, SENCO and external professionals
  • Maintaining strong communication with parents and carers
  • Following safeguarding protocols precisely
  • Keeping clear records and progress notes
  • Supporting pupils' regulation, engagement and reintegration

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of UK SEN teaching experience
  • QTS
  • Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD and small‑group SEN provision
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete a new check
  • Full‑time availability
  • Weekly pay via umbrella
  • Commitment to one full academic year
