Job description
At Belfast Community Wellbeing Service, we provide therapeutic support, group sessions, and 1:1 interventions to help people across the city reconnect with their communities, manage their mental health, and build structure into their lives. Responsibilities
- Build trusting, professional relationships with service users, supporting them in decision-making and personal development.
- Assist individuals in managing their mental and physical health, promoting overall wellbeing through tailored plans.
- Encourage service user involvement, fostering independence and engagement in their care.
- Plan and coordinate group/individual activities, ensuring the best outcomes for service users and stakeholders.
- Maintain hygiene and infection control standards to promote a safe and healthy environment.
- Offer guidance on personal safety and security, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To be flexible so to meet the needs of the service.
- Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver’s licence. Business Insurance will be required for this.
- Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
- Or A minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
- Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users.
- Experience of maintaining service user related records
- Working knowledge of using IT systems.
Further Information
Temporary 9 months maternity cover contract.
