Salary: £15.50 per hour
Hours: 8 hours per day, job and finish
Working Pattern: 5 days per week, including alternate Saturdays
Contract: 13-week agency period with a view to permanent employment

The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join a busy family-run dairy business supplying milk to wholesalers and hospitals across Preston, Blackpool, Bolton and Manchester .
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 driver looking for a long-term position , with the potential to transfer onto the company's permanent books following a successful 13-week agency period.
You will be responsible for delivering milk products to customers using 18-tonne and 26-tonne vehicles , working to a planned delivery schedule while providing a professional and reliable service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving 18-tonne and 26-tonne Class 2 vehicles
- Making deliveries to wholesalers and hospitals across the North West
- Operating vehicles fitted with tail lifts
- Loading and unloading milk cages and trollies
- Safely moving milk trollies into customer delivery areas
- Completing multiple deliveries throughout your shift
- Carrying out vehicle checks before and after shifts
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service at each delivery point
- Following all relevant transport, health & safety and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
- Relevant HGV driving experience
- CPC qualification and valid Driver Qualification Card
- Digital tachograph card
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience would be advantageous
- Experience using a tail lift is desirable
- Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves handling and moving milk trollies and cages
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
Working Hours & Pay
- £15.50 per hour
- Approximately 8 hours per day
- Job and finish
- 5-day working week
- Alternate Saturdays required
Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
The successful candidate will initially work through the agency for 13 weeks , with the opportunity to transfer onto the company's books on a permanent basis following a successful placement.
