A specialist school in the Durham area is looking to appoint a compassionate EYFS SEN Support Assistant to join their dedicated early years team.
The school caters for children with a range of additional needs including Autism, communication difficulties, sensory processing needs and developmental delays. Staff are committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Duties:
- Supporting pupils during classroom and play activities
- Encouraging communication and language development
- Assisting with social and emotional learning
- Helping children transition between activities throughout the day
- Working closely with teachers and therapy teams
Requirements:
- Previous childcare, nursery or SEN experience
- A caring and patient nature
- Understanding of early childhood development
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
