Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant - The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and school leaders to support pupils both academically and pastorally. Key responsibilities include: Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Delivering targeted interventions to raise attainment
Supporting students with varying abilities and learning needs
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and academic progress
Assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and educational resources
Developing your understanding of teaching, behaviour management, and classroom practice
Contributing positively to the wider school community Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant - Candidate Requirements A degree from a Russell Group university
A strong academic record throughout education
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, professional, and enthusiastic approach
The ability to build positive relationships with young people
Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
