DFC Work Experience - Sales Floor opportunity

Job description

Our Sales Floor Team are the first point of contact for customers when they enter our charity shop. You will be greeting customers, helping them find the items they’re looking for and answering their questions, with help on hand from the shop team. You will provide invaluable help in the running of the shop, keeping it stocked and attractively displayed.

Responsibilities

• Helping customers on the shop floor & providing good all-round customer service.
• Promoting our campaigns and any instore sales to customers.
• Working on window and shop displays to make them look their best.
• Keeping the shop tidy, clean and well organised, some light housekeeping.
• Helping your fellow volunteers and staff with customer queries.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

Further Information

The employer is British Heart Foundation. This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 6 weeks and will require attendance of 28 hours per week. While on Work Experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Those who are not receiving benefit are also welcome to participate. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment equivalent to £10/day to a maximum of £50/week.
