Art Teacher - Southampton

About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils to develop technical skills, creativity, and confidence in visual expression.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that include a variety of media and techniques
Encouraging pupils to explore creativity and develop their own artistic style
Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Preparing pupils for GCSE and other assessment requirements
Contributing to curriculum development within the department
Supporting extracurricular art activities such as clubs, exhibitions, and competitions
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Art
Be confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be passionate about inspiring pupils through creative education
Work effectively within a collaborative department
