- To engage with parents to form strong partnerships.
- To engage with families who find it difficult to access the services they need.
- To provide a range of support services to families to reduce social isolation.
- Supporting all families to ensure that their children have high attendance.
- Providing identified families with direct advice and support, signposting to further support, and being the school link within Team Around the Family groups.
- Liaise with other professionals, agencies and colleagues involved to ensure assessed needs are met within the agreed plans for the child and their carers.
- Organise and facilitate monthly family coffee mornings.
- To keep up to date with resources and support services available and research good practice in the family support field and attend up-to-date and appropriate training.
- To work with parents to overcome barriers to learning for their child and broker access to specialist and targeted support services where they would otherwise not have access.
- To keep written records of work undertaken in accordance with policies and provide written reports as required.
- To provide opportunities for parents to have a voice.
- Undertake training or personal developments appropriate to your post as identified by your line manager.
- Effectively model the standards of behaviour expected.
- Respect the confidentiality of matters relating to learners and other members of staff. The post holder must be aware of and comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations.
- Comply with the schools Health and Safety policies and procedures.
