Berry Recruitment are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver in the Peterborough area.
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 05:00 - 16:00
48 Hours a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wear correct PPE
- Vehicle is legally compliant
- Check systems, vehicles, equipment, tools and machinery before use - report defects
- Know your vehicle
- Carry correct licence/DCPC/Tacho card
- Use a reversing assistant (when available)
- Correct vehicle position and safe vehicle loading
- Prevent and report overweight vehicles
- Personal safety & that of the crew and people around them
- Vehicle is clean
- Report service, safety and environmental issues
- Stop the job if it's unsafe, report to your Supervisor
- Complete drivers debrief
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
- Effective Communication - Foundation
- Time Management - Foundation
- Driving a large/LGV vehicles
- Waste industry desirable
- Team working
