Nursery Assistant

Job description

Assisting in the day to day running of the nursery. Ensuring high standards of care and will involve the development of relevant and appropriate daily activities. Fostering relationships with children, parents, families and colleagues. Ensuring adherence to nursery policies, health & safety standards and all record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside a team of enthusiastic and caring staff.
• Ensuring children's needs are paramount.
• Building professional relationships with any outside agencies as required.
• Building relationships with families within nursery setting.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Should hold a minimum of Level 2 in childcare or be willing towards gaining qualification.
• Have an awareness of safety & hygiene issues.

Desirable Skills

• Have proven experience of working within a child care setting.
• Have a valid child protection certificate.
• Have a valid first aid certificate.
