Whistles is a London-based style destination known for timeless design and wardrobe signatures that elevate the everyday. We are looking for an Assistant Designer to join our Whistles Head Office team in London. Reporting into the Senior Designer, your focus will be supporting the design and development of the Whistles Womenswear collections, specialising in Outerwear, Jackets and Separates. 

What the Assistant Designer will do:

• Assisting the Design Team to facilitate the smooth running of the design process from sketch to supplier
• Researching general trends and product categories
• Comp shopping 
• Assisting with the preparation of design packs to issue to manufacturers
• Assisting with the construction of mood boards and packs for trend presentations
• Design work if required

What Whistles is looking for:

• Experience in a similar role as a general studio assistant involved in all aspects of the design process
• Have good drawing skills
• Good understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator and CAD
• Excellent trend awareness
• Have a positive and can-do approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
