Assistant Accountant, Client Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our client’s Accounting team. This role will play a key part in managing financial records and reporting across a diverse portfolio of client entities. You will ensure accurate and timely accounting information, support the preparation of management accounts and financial statements (including audited and regulated structures), and contribute to maintaining high standards of financial reporting.

The role also involves regular client interaction, technical input across complex structures, and acting as a key support resource for the wider team, including providing cover for managers when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Maintain and manage accurate, up-to-date accounting records for multiple client entities

·Prepare management accounts and financial statements for a range of structures, including regulated and audited entities

·Support the delivery of year-end statutory accounts under applicable accounting standards

·Ensure all reporting deadlines for clients, regulators, and auditors are consistently met

·Liaise directly with clients, auditors, and other third-party stakeholders on accounting matters

·Provide technical accounting guidance and day-to-day support to junior team members

·Assist with review processes and contribute to improving team efficiency and output quality

·Act as a key accounting resource for technical queries and escalations

·Provide cover for managers when required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

·Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)

·Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience

·Proven experience within a real estate accounting environment

·Extensive exposure to offshore trusts, company structures, and partnerships at PropCo and HoldCo level

·Strong working knowledge of FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A, and IFRS

·Experience working closely with auditors, clients, and external stakeholders

·Good understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to client accounting

·Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills

·Able to manage competing priorities across a varied portfolio of clients

·Must be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
