HGV Class 1 Driver - Birmingham
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, West Midlands. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts
* Days - Monday - Friday: start times between 03:00-06:00
Rates of Pay:
* £16.98 per hour (basic).
* £22.57 after 48 hours.

* No dropped shifts Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): * Depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps
* Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
* Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: * A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence
* A minimum of 2 year's Category CE driving experience
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
* A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
* Good spoken and written English Desirable Experience * Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver Training Provided * Driver assessment required prior to start
