Applications are invited for a Consultant Community Pediatrician to join a busy, innovative and friendly team at a Trust based in South East of England. This is a Locum Consultant post with core community paediatric responsibilities in neurodevelopmental disorders, but to develop an interest and expertise in working as part of the team for Looked After Children. These areas of interest will complement the existing dynamic group of professionals in Community Paediatrics however there is flexibility in roles which may be discussed and adapted according to the interest of candidates. There is also flexibility to discuss with applicants where the appointee would be based if travel distances are a consideration. The successful candidate will be expected to work to promote a multi-disciplinary team approach to care within community paediatrics. Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff is an essential part of the post and training regarding Diagnostic Autistic Spectrum Disorder is desirable. The hospital is based in a beautiful location with the catchment area of the Trust being set amongst historic towns that are interspersed with areas of natural beauty. There are excellent recreational and sporting facilities in the area and good rail links to Brighton, London and Europe via the Channel Tunnel or Eurostar and to international airports.
