We are seeking a General Operative to join the VolkerLaser team in Scotland. As a vital member of the operations team, the successful candidate will carry out a range of tasks within their discipline, working under site management direction to deliver work safely, efficiently, and to the required quality and specification.,
- Carry out a variety of construction and civil engineering tasks as required.
- Operate tools, plant and equipment safely and competently in line with training, instruction and authorisation.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, method statements and risk assessments.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping on site, including the care and maintenance of tools, plant and work areas.
- Identify and report hazards, near misses, defects or unsafe working conditions.
- Comply with all health, safety, wellbeing and environmental policies and procedures at all times, with responsibility for your own and others safety in your daily activity.
- Participate and actively engage in all site briefings, toolbox talks, and training activities. Previous experience working on construction sites
- Previous experience in concrete repair/strengthening, cathodic protection or civils would be advantageous
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- CSCS card
- Relevant job specific tickets
- Full UK valid driving licence VolkerLaser repairs, strengthens and waterproofs concrete and steel structures, offering a tailored package of specialist works to clients across the UK.
