About the role

Baker Mallett is looking for a motivated, organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our established team in Whitehaven, supporting major construction projects across the UK.

You will play an important role in reviewing pay and working hours, identifying discrepancies and producing reports to help ensure the consistent application of agreed pay and conditions across construction projects.

These may include the National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry (NAECI), the Civil Engineering Industry Joint Council (CIJC), and other relevant agreements.

  • Liaise with contractors to discuss discrepancies, agree any necessary corrections and ensure these are followed up.
  • Prepare and issue regular audit reports within client deadlines.
  • Carry out additional audits and investigations as required, including trend analysis, reviews of productivity and performance-based payment schemes, and ad-hoc reporting.

Essential criteria

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Good analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and interpret data.
  • Confident using spreadsheets and databases, with good IT skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work independently.

Desirable Criteria

· Knowledge of regulations and guidelines

· Previous experience of the audit cycle

What we offer

  • 25 days' annual leave, with additional days for long service and your birthday.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Pension scheme, following successful completion of your probationary period.
  • Access to a Learning and Development platform to support your ongoing development.
