Nursery Manager
Location : Alverthorpe
Salary : £38,000-£40,000 per year, up to £44k OTE
Hours : Full-time, over 4 or 5 days

The Role:
As Nursery Manager at our Alverthorpe nursery, you’ll lead the setting with passion, creativity and purpose. You’ll be responsible for creating an outstanding environment for children while supporting and developing a team who are just as passionate about early years as you are.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
• Lead the nursery with autonomy, creating a setting where children and practitioners can flourish.
• Inspire, support and develop your team through strong leadership, mentoring and shared learning.
• Maintain high standards of care, education, safeguarding and customer service.
• Ensure practice is aligned with the EYFS framework and relevant Ofsted requirements.
• Create inspiring, welcoming and aesthetically engaging environments that spark children’s curiosity.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children, families, colleagues and the wider community.
• Promote inclusive and adaptable practice, ensuring every child is valued and supported.
• Champion sustainability and encourage environmentally conscious practice throughout the nursery.
• Support effective budget management and make thoughtful decisions around nursery resources.
• Encourage creativity and new ideas, giving your team the confidence to think outside the box.
• Support your own professional development while encouraging continuous learning across the team.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for an inspirational leader who combines high standards with warmth, creativity and emotional intelligence.
Essential
• Level 3 Childcare qualification or above.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and health & safety.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and developing teams.
• Commitment to inclusive and adaptable practice.
Desirable
• Previous Nursery Manager or senior leadership experience.
• Experience managing budgets and financial resources.
• Experience preparing for or supporting Ofsted inspections.
• Knowledge or experience of sustainability within an early years setting.
