Pupil Support Teacher Wellbeing and Inclusion, Helensburgh and Lomond Area

Are you a GTCS registered teacher with a passion for inclusion? In this role, you will be part of the Inclusion and Equality team’s approach to supporting learner wellbeing and engagement in a place -based model of support.

The successful candidate will support learners’ needs across the locality through targeted interventions that incorporate an enhanced nurturing approach with a focus on co-regulation and prevention of dysregulation.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of, and experience in applying, the principles of nurture and should have experience of planning and delivering targeted interventions for learners who need support to engage positively with school and learning.

The successful candidate will support schools through targeted CLPL and providing support for planning to meet the needs of identified learners. They will collaborate with school staff to build capacity for supporting learners with additional needs.

The role will include:

  • Offering time limited interventions directly with learners within or outwith the school environment.
  • Providing training and support to school staff in nurturing approaches and enhanced-nurture based interventions to build capacity in staff across settings.
  • Providing training and support to school staff in the theory and practice of preventing dysregulation and in promoting co-regulation (training and accreditation for this will be provided but candidates with experience in the area are preferred).
  • Working in collaboration with multi-agency partners to deliver the best outcomes for learners in line with GIRFEC

In these circumstances, a calculation will be carried out upon commencement of employment and leave and pay will be adjusted.
