We're looking for an experienced and motivated Community Wellbeing Team Leader to lead our Contact Point services across Edinburgh and Fife. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about mental health, recovery-focused practice and community engagement to shape and develop a vibrant service that changes lives.
About the role
As Community Wellbeing Team Leader, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of our Contact Point centres, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery-focused support. You'll lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, creating an environment where people feel valued, respected and empowered.
A key part of the role will be overseeing an engaging programme of wellbeing activities, groups and events that reduce social isolation, promote recovery and strengthen community connections. Working collaboratively with people who use the service, partner organisations and local communities, you'll ensure activities are co-produced and responsive to local needs.
You'll also:
- Lead and support a team to deliver exceptional services.
- Provide supervision, coaching and workforce development.
- Develop partnerships with statutory and third-sector organisations.
- Monitor service quality, performance and outcomes.
- Drive innovation, service improvement and community engagement.
- Contribute to budget management and service planning.
- Promote participation, inclusion and positive risk enablement.
About you
We're looking for someone who can bring energy, leadership and a passion for supporting people to thrive.
You'll have:
- Experience leading or supervising staff and/or volunteers.
- Experience within mental health, wellbeing, social care, community development or similar settings.
- Experience developing and delivering community activities, programmes or events.
- Experience supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Strong partnership-working skills.
- Experience monitoring quality and performance.
- The ability to motivate teams and create a positive culture.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
Qualifications
Essential:
- SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Community Development, Mental Health or equivalent.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable:
- Degree recognised by the CLD Standards Council for Scotland or working towards one.
