Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading specialist in residential development, based near Winchester who is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor
to support Senior Quantity Surveyors across a range of projects, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of commercial management within the residential construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Support in managing project costs throughout the lifecycle of developments.
- Help in the preparation and analysis of subcontractor quotations.
- Assist with contract administration and procurement activities.
- Help to monitor site progress and track costs, preparing cost reports.
- Liaise with project teams and provide support on cost control matters.
- Participate in site visits to assess project progress and cost implications.
Who We’re Looking For
- A recent graduate or early career professional with a relevant degree (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar).
- Some experience in a construction or quantity surveying role is desirable, but not essential.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Keen attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ideally some knowledge of industry software.
- A proactive, positive approach to problem-solving.
