A luxury fashion retailor based in West London is currently searching for a VAT Manager. This role is newly created and has come about due to an impressive period of growth and an on-going project of bringing the VAT process further in-house. The group has operations spanning the globe, this role specifically will focus on the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the VAT compliance process for UK and Europe, inclusive of reviewing VAT computations produced by the VAT accountant (your direct report)
- Advising the group on VAT implications of activity and sales operations
- Monitor the VAT reporting process to ensure it’s optimised and in line with latest legislation
- Assist with the group’s corporate tax compliance during busy periods
- Liaise closely with key tax authorities
Requirements:
- Preferably qualified with ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT
- Proven experience of VAT compliance for the UK and Europe
- Advanced Excel skills
- Confident and organised, eager to undertake a managerial role (manager training will be provided if you are not experienced)
