We're looking for a senior sales leader to launch and grow JENI-made plastic parts as a UK business.

About Photocentric

Photocentric designs and manufactures its own 3D printers and the photopolymers that run in them. That vertical integration gives us unrivalled price competitiveness. We also operate some of the most productive 3D printers in the world by daily output. We have developed JENI , the world's first robotic, digital, mass-manufacturing machine. JENI produces parts to injection moulding standard, but without the cost and lead time of tooling.

About the role

We have created an exciting and challenging new role for an accomplished Business Development Manager to take overall responsibility for this new business and grow it into a significant supplier of plastic parts in the UK. With JENI, we can offer customers something new with competitive prices, higher volumes and much faster turnaround than injection moulding companies. This is a rare chance to build the world’s first large-volume digital mass-manufacturing supply company from the ground up. As the Senior Business Development Manager you will win new customers and work closely with our design team and print farm to make sure every customer is delighted, from first enquiry through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for growing the business into a significant UK supplier of plastic parts
• Build and deliver the sales strategy, targeting sectors and accounts where tooling cost and lead time hold customers back
• Identify, approach and win new commercial accounts, from OEMs to Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
• Use your network in the moulding and plastics sector to open doors quickly
• Negotiate commercial terms and agree technical specifications with customers
• Own quoting and pricing, working with the print farm to make sure every job is profitable
• Work closely with the design team and print farm to manage production from order to dispatch
• Deliver consistently excellent customer service, from quotation through to delivery
• Report on pipeline, forecasts and results to the leadership team
• Represent Photocentric at trade shows and industry events
• Feed customer and market insight back into our product and materials development
• Build and lead a sales team as the business grows

In your first year, success looks like

• A clear go-to-market plan for target sectors and accounts
• A healthy pipeline and a first group of repeat production customers
• A pricing and quotation process the business can scale
• Revenue growing month on month against agreed targets

About you

• Senior sales or sales management within injection moulding or plastic parts manufacturing
• A proven track record of winning new business and growing accounts against targets
• A strong technical understanding of plastic parts: materials, tolerances, finishes, design for manufacture and typical applications
• Strong project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• An entrepreneurial approach and the energy to build something new from the ground up
• Degree educated, ideally in engineering, polymer science or a related field
• Experience of additive manufacturing or a 3D printing bureau would be useful
• An existing network of buyers and engineers in sectors such as automotive, medical, consumer products, electronics or industrial equipment
