Apprentice Administrator

£13 - £15 per hourEstimated
Full-time

Job purpose: An Apprentice Administrator is required by the Omexom Major Projects ASTI Business Unit to support the site team at Fort Augustus. This involves carrying out general office administration, with a focus on Finance and Training administration.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Including but not limited to the following:

  • Complete purchase orders for projects/office costs
  • Processing of purchase invoices ready for payment ·
  • Liaising with project teams to help and resolve issues ·
  • Maintain employees training records and coordinate and book training courses
  • Liaise with Head office / HR if needed
  • Act as a daily contact point in office for Omexom staff contractors’, customers, and suppliers
  • Assist with general administration associated with the procurement process including travel bookings and associated payments
  • Act as a role model for Omexom Company Values

You will work with the following key stakeholders:

  • Business Unit General Manager
  • Business Unit employees
  • Contractors
  • Customers
  • Suppliers
  • Head Office Personnel

What will I learn? Office administration and record management.

Finance administration, including purchase orders and invoice processing.

Procurement and supplier management.

Training coordination and maintaining employee training records.

Communication with project teams, contractors, customers and suppliers.

Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Organisation, time management and prioritisation.

Problem-solving, teamwork and professional workplace behaviours.

Experience working within a major energy infrastructure project environment.

What qualifications or qualities are required? Academic Grades to allow access to further education SVQ course

English and Maths.

Familiarity with Microsoft software advantageous

Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to staff at all levels.

Be able to work under pressure, be a team player and have a high level of self-motivation.

Possess the ability to use your initiative to ensure new skills and tasks are picked up easily.

The flexibility to work additional hours whenever required.
