We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in Slough seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers, supporting students both in the classroom and through small-group and one-to-one interventions. Your role will help pupils develop their mathematical understanding while encouraging engagement, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.

Key Responsibilities

* Support students during maths lessons through one-to-one and small-group interventions.
* Assist teachers with lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
* Help students understand mathematical concepts and complete classwork.
* Provide additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other learning needs.
* Encourage positive behaviour, participation and confidence within the classroom.
* Prepare learning resources and support differentiated learning activities.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
* A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
* Patience, empathy and a proactive, positive approach.
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
* Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
* The ability to commute to Slough.
