Operations Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our team in Aberdeen.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, supporting our staff, ensuring deadlines are met, and helping the business continue to run efficiently and effectively.

The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure work is completed to a high standard and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and functions of the business .

• Coordinate workloads and ensure projects, tasks and deliverables are completed within agreed deadlines.

• Prepare, manage and review reports, records and operational information .

• Assist with tendering and bid submissions , coordinating information and ensuring submissions are accurate, professional and delivered on time.

• Monitor ongoing work and identify any potential issues or delays, taking appropriate action to keep things on track.

• Manage, support and mentor staff , helping to develop skills, performance and confidence within the team.

• Allocate work and manage priorities across the team.

• Act as a key point of contact between management, staff, clients and other stakeholders.

• Help develop and improve internal processes and procedures to increase efficiency.

• Ensure company standards, policies and procedures are followed.

• Attend meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.

• Take responsibility for ensuring important actions and deadlines are followed through.

• Support the wider management team with the continued growth and development of the business.

• Carry out any other operational duties required to support the smooth running of the business.

• Has previous experience in an operations, management or senior administrative role .

• Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

• Can confidently manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.

• Business Development with existing and prospective clients

• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Is comfortable managing and mentoring a team.

• Has experience preparing reports and working with business information.

• Ideally has experience with tendering, quotations or bid submissions .

• Is confident using Microsoft Office and general business systems.

• Can work independently and use their own initiative.

• Is practical, solution-focused and able to remain calm under pressure.

• Takes pride in getting things done and maintaining high standards.
