Salary: £30,000 per annum plus generous benefits (please see below)

Contract: Permanent, full-time. A minimum commitment of 42.5 hours per week

Required Days of Work: Monday - Friday

Working Hours: Between 9am - 6pm

Our Handy Person plays a critical function, ensuring the smooth running of operational building facilities.  This is a customer-facing environment where you will be responsible for maintaining Vita Student’s highest building standards.

Our Handy Person

• Painting & decorating.

• Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

• Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and performing scheduled maintenance tasks.

• Maintaining the bin store area.

• General repairs, such as fixing minor issues like leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, damaged doors, and wall repairs.

• Performing minor tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture, and touch-up painting & decorating.

• Ground works, maintaining the upkeep of outdoor areas such as grass-cutting & hedge-trimming/shaping and jet-washing.

• Safety compliance.

• Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks.

Professional Experience

• Professional Painting & Decorating expereince.

• Experienced delivering preventive and corrective fire alarm and firefighting system maintenance

• Skilled across a variety of maintenance functions

• Well-versed in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within a similar environment.

• Demonstrable understanding and adherence of safety compliance regulations and procedures.

Personal Characteristics
