Full-time
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three full-time Band 7 Chief Cardiac Physiologists specialising in echocardiography to join our dynamic, supportive and highly motivated team. These are newly created posts and represent a significant investment in our echocardiography service, supporting both service expansion and continued development of our workforce.

Our echocardiography team provides a comprehensive diagnostic service for both outpatients and inpatients. We deliver a wide range of investigations, including adult transthoracic echocardiography, physiologist-led valve clinics, exercise stress echocardiography, and consultant-led dobutamine stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography. The department operates Monday to Friday, with opportunities to undertake additional weekend overtime where available.

We have recently completed a major refurbishment of our cardiac catheter laboratories, further enhancing the care we provide to our patients. Alongside this investment, we are expanding our interventional cardiology and cardiac rhythm management services, including an increase in complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedures and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT-P) and conduction system pacing implants. These developments will enable more patients to receive specialist cardiac care closer to home while providing excellent opportunities for professional development within a progressive and expanding service.
