Management Trainee - Planning

Summary:

As a Management Trainee in Planning within the manufacturing and production sector, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operational efficiency of our organisation. This position is designed to provide you with comprehensive training and hands-on experience in planning processes, enabling you to contribute to our strategic goals while developing your management skills in a dynamic environment.

We’re looking for a driven planner to challenge and improve sales forecasts, develop efficient production plans, and ensure seamless customer fulfilment while minimising waste. The role focuses on master scheduling, optimising production sequencing, and responding proactively to changes, all while using data to drive performance improvements. Working cross-functionally with production, sales and technical teams, you’ll oversee daily output, ensure alignment to targets, and support effective raw material planning—playing a key role in driving efficiency and continuous improvement across the operation.

What we’re looking for:

Graduate applicants or 1 to 3 years’ experience in a workplace

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Interest in data, operations, or supply chain

• Comfortable working with numbers and systems (Excel or similar)

• Proactive and adaptable mindset

• Strong communication skills across teams

After 12 months the successful candidate will have the required skill to evolve the role with a view of increased ownership, involved in both businesses under the Blas y Tir arm, Pembrokeshire Creamery & Puffin Produce
