Teaching Assistant

Reeson Education are supporting a large mainstream secondary school in Croydon, South London who require an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be a Teaching Assistant with prior secondary school experience, or a graduate looking to pursue a career as a qualified teacher in the future.
The role of the Teaching Assistant is to support students with moderate learning difficulties and encourage learning across a variety of subjects and year groups.

The Role - Teaching Assistant - September 2026 - Croydon, South London
The school require an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a busy and fun environment where every day offers something different. Candidates with previous SEN experience are encouraged to apply. The successful individual will support students with moderate learning difficulties and special educational needs across a variety of year groups. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and listening skills with a commitment to helping each student achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will:
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with students' learning
- Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support students to achieve learning goals
- Assist with the planning of learning activities
- Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs
