Puro Associates are working with an established legal practice in Liverpool that is looking to strengthen its Housing Disrepair team with an experienced Fee Earner. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in Housing Disrepair who is confident managing their own caseload and looking to join a busy, supportive team. The Role You will be responsible for managing a caseload of Housing Disrepair claims from instruction through to conclusion, including:

This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in Housing Disrepair who is confident managing their own caseload and looking to join a busy, supportive team. The Role You will be responsible for managing a caseload of Housing Disrepair claims from instruction through to conclusion, including:
- Managing your own pre- and post-litigated Housing Disrepair caseload.
- Progressing claims efficiently and in line with relevant protocols.
- Dealing with liability and quantum issues.
- Drafting correspondence, pleadings and other legal documentation.
- Liaising with clients, landlords, Counsel and other third parties.
- Negotiating settlements where appropriate.
- Preparing matters for hearings and progressing litigation.
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring files remain compliant.
- Providing excellent client care throughout the claims process.
- Working towards agreed targets and KPIs.
- Previous Housing Disrepair experience – essential.
- Experience managing your own caseload.
- Good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant Housing Conditions case law.
- Experience handling litigated and pre-litigated claims.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent client-care skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
