We're looking for an IT Helpdesk Support Advisor to join our IT Services team. In this role, you'll provide first and second-line support to colleagues across the business, ensuring IT issues are resolved efficiently while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
What you'll be doing
As part of our IT team, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing first and second-line technical support via telephone, email, remote access and in person.
- Managing support requests through our helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring issues are prioritised and resolved effectively.
- Supporting Microsoft 365 applications and cloud services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
- Administering Microsoft Entra ID, including user accounts, permissions and group memberships.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
- Setting up new users, devices and software.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, printer and connectivity issues.
- Assisting with software deployments, system upgrades and IT projects.
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation and IT asset records.
- Promoting IT security best practices across the business.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT Helpdesk or Service Desk role.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Exchange Online.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience using IT service management/helpdesk software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Autopilot.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Business or Defender for Endpoint.
- Basic PowerShell administration.
- Azure administration experience.
- Windows Server, Hyper-V or VMware knowledge.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with hybrid Microsoft 365 environments and ITIL processes.
