Job description
Our Client Moores Concrete, a leading precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena are seeking welders to join their team. As a Welder, you will play an important role within the production team, carrying out welding duties and supporting general manufacturing activities to ensure products are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out welding duties using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
- Performing routine preventative maintenance on welding equipment and machinery.
- Completing corrective maintenance and minor repairs as required.
- Supporting production activities when required.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Working effectively as part of a busy production team.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a similar welding or production role.
- Basic welding experience.
- Experience within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Good understanding of written and spoken English.
Desirable Skills
- MIG welding experience.
- Ability to read technical or construction drawings and bar schedules.
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence and/or Overhead Crane Licence.
- CSR Card, First Aid or Fire Warden training.
