Contract: Full Time - Perm

Pay: £13.61 per hour weekdays & £14.61 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 7.30am to 2.30pm/2.30pm to 9.30pm - Weekdays and alternative Weekends

Location: Vesta Lodge, Watling View, St Albans AL1 2PB

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our welcoming Care Home Vesta Lodge based in St Albans . Vesta Lodge is a 61 bed residential care home which is welcoming, values driven based team where collaboration, compassion, respect and person-centred care is at the heart of everything they do.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You'll Bring

* It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
* You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
* Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
* Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
* You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

* Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
* Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
* Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
* Follow individual personalised care plans
* Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person- centred care
