Our company is looking for a Building Surveyor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering small and medium sized capital projects and refurbishment works;
  • Prepare a tender report and recommendations to client;
  • Tender works;
  • Ensure projects are completed on budget, to schedule. Inform clients and other stakeholders in a timely manner of anticipated delays and variations;
  • Comply with all RICS, statutory and other regulatory guidelines;
  • Detailed analysis of information;
  • Project Management whilst conducting Building Surveys;
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety Requirements;
  • Prepare work specifications and tender documents;
  • Advise clients on schemes and projects and determine requirements;
  • Preparation of contract documents for successful contractor;
  • Reinstatement cost assessments / Insurance Valuations;
  • Carrying out building surveys, identification of building defects and advice;
  • Preparing specialist reports;
  • Liaisons during works supervision.

Requirements:

  • The ability to produce clear and concise written reports and recommendations;
  • A team member, with the ability to accept responsibility and work on their own initiative;
  • The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met;
  • Must be RICS qualified;
  • Sound commercial awareness;
  • Practical IT skills;
  • Experience of internal and external relationship development and partnership working and networking;
  • Principal Designer;
  • CDM. Principal Designer;
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety Requirements;
  • Consistent attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of Property systems at experienced user level;
  • Full personal commitment with good attention to time management;
  • CAD proficiency;
  • Dilapidations advice for both tenants and landlords.
