Our company is looking for a Combustion Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a good working relationship between service teams and client / customers;
  • Providing customer with small works quotations upon identification of faults or compliance issues;
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks including callouts on all gas and associated heating/mechanical equipment;
  • Participate within an out of normal working hour’s emergency call out rota;
  • Carry out minor installation works on all gas and associated heating/mechanical equipment.

Requirements:

  • Two years’ experience working in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer or equivalent;
  • Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances would be beneficial;
  • CCN1 – Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units;
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent;
  • Willing and able to work as part of a team and independently;
  • Ability to build and manage good working relationships;
  • Evidence of experience on gas burners, oil burners and LPG pipe fitting, plumbing is essential;
  • Flexible outside of core working hours;
  • Full and clear driving license;
  • Good standard of IT skills for report completion on handheld device;
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving and fault diagnosis;
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and effectively manage time and work with budgets;
  • Proof of certification of manufactures product / boiler training courses would be desirable;
  • Proven experience within a similar role, with technical expertise;
  • Requirement to cover standby for out of hours cover on a rota basis.
