Our company is looking for a Design Verification Planner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of job pack including photos detailing all work required onsite;
  • Ensure work is accurate and completed on time;
  • Comply with Health & Safety and environmental policies;
  • Capturing the meterage and surface type of dig location;
  • Carry out design verification activity, including, but not limited to;
  • Production of ‘fit for purpose’ job pack for execution by operations teams;
  • Production of risk register highlighting all obstructions and SED’s;
  • dentify SEDs (Special Engineering Difficulties) and appropriate trial hole locations;
  • Walking the route, noting all existing services and obstructions.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of legislation regarding activities in the highway;
  • Full Driving licence is essential;
  • Demonstrates effective communication and people interfacing skills;
  • You’ll need to proactively manage your own work, and demonstrate knowledge and confidence when representing Virgin Media Business to our customer;
  • Good health and safety awareness;
  • Financial awareness would be desirable;
  • NWSWA – Signing, Lighting and Guarding would be beneficial, but not essential;
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel and PDF;
  • An interest in becoming a technical expert would be an advantage, but a desire to learn is an absolute must;
  • Civils experience would be beneficial, but not essential;
  • Ability to work in all weathers;
  • Experience in a similar operational environment within the telecommunications industry would be a definite advantage for this role;
  • Hands-on approach.
