Geophysical Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Geophysical Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair survey equipment;
- Train and supervise engineers less experienced in hydrographic and geophysical survey methods;
- Lead deployment and recovery of survey equipment from vessels;
- Assist with or lead mobilisation, calibration and demobilisation of vessels;
- Author, update and follow work instructions and procedures on a variety of geophysical survey work;
- Ensure adherence to QHSSE policies and practices;
- Acquire, QC and process geophysical data including sidescan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, magnetometer and EIVA Scanfish;
- Work closely with other Fugro survey teams worldwide.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in geophysics or an engineering discipline, or closely-related subject, is desirable but not essential;
- A qualification in geophysics, engineering, or closely-related subject is essential.
