Our company is looking for a Geophysical Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair survey equipment;
  • Train and supervise engineers less experienced in hydrographic and geophysical survey methods;
  • Lead deployment and recovery of survey equipment from vessels;
  • Assist with or lead mobilisation, calibration and demobilisation of vessels;
  • Author, update and follow work instructions and procedures on a variety of geophysical survey work;
  • Ensure adherence to QHSSE policies and practices;
  • Acquire, QC and process geophysical data including sidescan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, magnetometer and EIVA Scanfish;
  • Work closely with other Fugro survey teams worldwide.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in geophysics or an engineering discipline, or closely-related subject, is desirable but not essential;
  • A qualification in geophysics, engineering, or closely-related subject is essential.
