Graduate Civil Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of documentation relating to projects;
- Preparing civil engineering designs and specifications for your projects;
- Participating in the resolution of technical issues;
- Actively seek new and innovative design methods and solutions;
- Maintain all necessary project data and information;
- Liaise and coordinate with other engineers, architects, surveyors and contractors;
- Attend site visits, site meetings and design meetings as your projects require;
- Preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and other project documentation as required;
- Planning and implementation of site investigations;
- Problem solving on a day to day basis;
- Checking drawings and designs of peers;
- Undertaking 2D/3D modelling and drafting work to support your designs;
- Building relationships with Clients on projects.
Requirements:
- Good written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytical, maths and technical skills;
- Excellent organisational skills and timekeeping;
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure;
- A relevant degree; minimum BEng or equivalent in Civil/Infrastructure Engineering at a high grade;
- Flexible approach to work and the ability to work as part of a team;
- A high level of technical competence.
