HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all delivery and collection records are accurately maintained;
- Loading and unloading of vehicles in a safe manner and maintaining security at all times;
- Complying with all driver hours and RTD legislation;
- Complying with health & safety requirements on site and on the road;
- Assisting in planning next day deliveries;
- Carrying out daily vehicle defect checks and report any faults to the Transport Manager;
- Ensuring that all appropriate PPE is available and used;
- Communicating effectively with the operations team and representing the company in a professional manner;
- Carrying out necessary vehicle checks to secure safety.
Requirements:
- HGV Class 2 licence;
- Flexible and adaptable;
- Valid HIAB Certificate;
- Good geographical knowledge;
- Valid CPC & Tachograph Card;
- Extensive knowledge of drivers’ hours, tachograph rules and UK legislation;
- Hold a category LGV C licence (HGV 2, Class 2);
- Valid driving license (Category C or Class 2);
- Excellent interpersonal Skills;
- Experience at Multi-drop deliveries in the local area needed;
- Previous Hiab Experience is a must and a clean licence is desirable;
- You must not have DD, DR or IN endorsements on your licence;
- Customer service experience;
- Experience delivering building materials preferred;
- ALLMI Lorry Loader with Clamshell category required.
