Our company is looking for a Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead building projects of various sizes, taking an active role in project leadership and client-facing activity;
  • Full Electrical Building Services & lighting design to concept & detail stages with associated calculations;
  • Support senior engineers on a range of projects;
  • Preparing written reports and specification models;
  • Support graduate engineers and Senior staff with technical expertise and mentor less experienced team members;
  • Take an active role in building services design elements for both small and major projects working closely with other team members;

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or building services;
  • Hold a full UK driving license;
  • Able to work in the UK FREELY without sponsorship;
  • Able to attend site, client and progress meetings;
  • Able to use Amtech and Dialux or Relux;
  • At least two years’ experience as an Electrical (Building Services) Design Engineer;
  • Prepare concept scheme designs and communicate these with contractors to negotiate costs;
  • Minimum of 3 years within a design role in the building services industry;
  • Knowledge of current UK building regulations;
  • Ideally working towards chartership;
  • Fully IT literate with experience in AutoCAD, NES, Amtech, Revit;
  • Experience using relevant software applications including Amtech and Dialux;
  • Proven experience within a similar role;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
  • Minimum of 5 years within a design role in the building services industry.
