Junior CAD Engineer – AUTOCAD design Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Junior CAD Engineer – AUTOCAD design to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing design recommendations and solutions to any problems that may arise due to architectural / client requirements;
- Liaising with Sales and Projects Managers to provide the required information to assist in the advancement of projects through to approval;
- Ensuring the drawings adhere to the relevant design standards and meet Health & Safety requirements;
- Interpreting and modifying architects drawings to aid with design and product choice;
- Compiling detailed Sales Scheme and Project Approval level drawings within set timeframes to a high level of quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Other packages eg SOLIDWORKS / 3D packages are of interest also;
- Some good CAD design, design engineering, design draughtsman, draughts engineering, sales schemes, schemes experience;
- Good experience of AutoCAD 2D and ability;
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- Excellent communication and interaction skills- ability to work with people at all levels;
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to meet customer and project deadlines without errors;
- Good IT skills and MS Office experience;
- CAD experience within the manufacturing / engineering industries or similar production industries is desirable;
- Mechanical / Engineering Apprenticeship qualifications or equivalent /similar- Autocad courses, CAD Apprenticeships, CAD Courses;
- Ability to interpret architect drawings.
