Our company is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in maintenance of the project budget through diligence and utilisation of efficient and working practices;
  • Accountable for ensuring all Mechanical commissioning is carried out in accordance with project commissioning specifications, standards and procedures;
  • Accountable for ensuring Mechanical commissioning is carried out in accordance with project schedules and budget;
  • To play an active role in ensuring that all project HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded;
  • Review /approve and supervise the design and installation of minor temporary Mechanical / Piping systems / supplies;
  • Monitor and report Mechanical commissioning progress on a regular basis;
  • Manage/attend project HAZID’s / Risk Assessments;
  • Supervise and support the project Commissioning Team;
  • Provide Mechanical input into project system design during the Mechanical / Piping design phase;
  • Ensure a safe Mechanical Permit to Work and isolation system is in place and adhered to;
  • Actively participate in all company and project safety initiatives;
  • Produce / Review and or approve Mechanical / Piping commissioning procedures – ensure compliance with project standards, specifications and procedures;
  • Ensure all Mechanical commissioning activities adhere to all applicable site / project safety procedures and practices;
  • Develop project Mechanical commissioning strategy documents;
  • Accountable for developing the project Mechanical commissioning strategy and producing / reviewing or approving mechanical procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer on an oil and gas project or related industry project;
  • Able to work in a multi cultural environment;
  • Good knowledge of O&G related SHEQ safe working practices / procedu;
  • Ability to interact with other departments / disciplines;
  • Experienced in the supervision of personnel and team working;
  • Budget and cost control experience;
  • Flexible and able to comply/adapt to company and client requirements;
  • Confident and able to work on own initiative;
  • Offshore / Onshore experience in similar role;
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safety;
  • Must be Able to Work at site / offshore as and when required;
  • Knowledge and use of planning systems;
  • Delivery focused and committed to achievement of project goals;
  • Conversant with the completions process and associated completions management software for example PIMS / WinPCS, Mancon, ED.
