Mechanical Design Engineer (Siemens NX) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (Siemens NX) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise closely with other project team members;
- Monitor progress in accordance with pre-agreed monthly milestone targets;
- Carry out design calculations e.g. thermal growths, hoop and tensile stresses and tolerance analysis to support designs;
- Lead design engineering activities from concept, through development and qualification test.
Requirements:
- Experience with GD&T and FEA;
- Confident user of 3D CAD software for design, ideally Siemens NX;
- Knowledge of electrical machines / rotating machinery would be beneficial;
- A Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification;
- Experience of producing designs with consideration of costs and ease of manufacture and assembly.
