Project Quantity Surveyor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable & consistent ETC and Expenditure (ACWP) based on Value of Work Done;
- Liaise closely with Project Manager to provide advice on any changes and variations to the contract and associated Forecasts;
- Develop further a set of robust cost estimation processes with the Commercial Manager;
- Review all cost estimates with the Commercial Manager before they are submitted;
- managing client relationship and related interface;
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including Bill of Quantities and schedules in conjunction with the Commercial Manager;
- Determine the scope of work and contents of project estimates by preparing a list of bid quantities and associated items;
- Source and provide accurate pricing information for materials, labour, plant and equipment etc;
- Provide pre-tender estimates to support tender cost analysis, analyse tenders and issue recommendations;
- Handle all claims issues relating to extension of time and the critical path relating to the project construction schedule;
- Attending site and client meetings;
- Managing the Sub – Contractors;
- Dealing with contractual issues;
- Standing in for the Commercial Manager where required;
- Variations.
