Our company is looking for a Quantity Surveyor – Highways to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Estimating and Operations with developing bid submissions;
- Remain responsible for the project until all matters are completed;
- Identification of process flaws and assisting with developing improved processes;
- Procurement of resources to meet programme and ideally tender;
- Ensure archiving is carried out in accordance with company policy;
- Being aware of and actioning any potential business development opportunities;
- Commercial interaction with client and suppliers;
- Commercial advice to/support and interaction with project team(s);
- To act professionally always and promote the company’s best standards and practices;
- Supply chain management and payment to ensure programme is maintained and buying opportunities are maximised;
- Ensure accurate records of site activities undertaken and events are maintained and collated for easy reference, report as required;
- Responsible for all commercial and contractual matters on the Project(s) allocated to them;
- Make payment applications to clients, monitor and chase client payments;
- Ensure that all aspects of the project are understood and make effective use of the tender handover;
- Weekly review of programme and site records and analysis of variances from planned.
Requirements:
- Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering or similar.
