Quantity Surveyor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required;
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders;
- Preparation of Financial Information for Internal Reporting, Budgets, Cash Flows;
- Attendance at post tender subcontract interviews;
- Knowledge of Reinstatement Cost Assessments;
- Liaise with conveyance solicitor and ensure lease information is consistent with construction information and clients requirements;
- Pricing of contract variations;
- Follow procedures to ensure proper allocation of job cost;
- Managing the commercial delivery on large scale of new build housing developments;
- Negotiation and analysis of costs for tenders/contracts;
- Chair meeting as required;
- Interrogate designs produced by Architects, Designers, Engineers & Consultants to assist with design development;
- Writing reports and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.);
- Work collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery;
- Monitoring of contract costs and variations.
Requirements:
- Healthcare;
- HND (or degree) in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Civil Engineering;
- Highly Organised;
- Bonus;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- International Cat A and Cat B fit out experience;
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S and Building Regulations;
- Ensure subcontract accounts are managed within budgets and subcontracts/final accounts are signed and agreed in a timely manner;
- Must have supplementary experience in retail and residential developments to support other parts of the team;
- Experience within the construction industry;
- Strong verbal communication skills;
- CEMAR knowledge and user experience;
- An industry applicable qualification;
- Quantity Surveying (QS) Degree. Commenced or looking to commence professional development;
- Experience of contract administration.
