revit mep technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a revit mep technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering model & drawing production in line with project BIM requirements and in conjunction with company CAD/BIM standards;
- Liaising directly with Design Engineering team to ensure we meet client needs and projects are delivered on programme;
- Production of accurate coordinated 3D BIM models from/to Design Engineers mark-ups and schematic design for construction delivery;
- Working with Engineers & Designers in modelling and drawing production;
- Production of both traditional as built Information and Asset Information Models;
- Production of Working MEP BIM models and associated 2D Drawings in Revit environment;
- Creating working installation drawings based on the consultants drawings, and ensure they meet the necessary quality and specifications of the brief;
- Contribute in project meetings and liaise with stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal;
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role within the Building Services industry;
- Masters in BIM management desirable;
- Experience working on a range of project types;
- Good understanding of other disciplines such as architecture, structural engineering and Sustainability;
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines;
- Engineering background an advantage but not essential;
- Strong Building Services background;
- Proven experience within a similar role;
- Knowledge of other industry software, such as Navisworks and AutoCAD;
- At least 3 years’ experience within a Building Services environment;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- 2D AutoCAD & Revit experience essential;
- Detailed design and coordination experience for contractors;
- Detailed design and coordination experience for the consultancy market.
