Senior Civil Structural Designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Civil Structural Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Review drawings and specifications and equipment documentation;
- Prepare and review wiring diagrams and schematics;
- Participates on Model Reviews as and when required;
- Extract general arrangements from PDMS/PDS and produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation;
- Prepare Civil & Structural models in PDMS/PDS, including steel frameworks, foundations, culverts;
- Liaise with other disciplines in the preparation of models and support requirements;
- Checking of drawings/models in accordance with Work Practices, standards and client standards;
- Report changes to the Lead Designer/Lead Engineer;
- Coordinates with other disciplines as and when required;
- Maintain project familiarization with the project Discipline Design Instruction;
- Provides technical support and guidance to junior designers;
- Ensure all work to be carried out with a positive attitude towards safety, both in design and in the office environment;
- Prepare and issue drawings in line with project schedule.
Requirements:
- Expert in Microstation and AutoCAD;
- Associate or Bachelor in Engineering preferred;
- 8+ years of substation structural design experience.
