Our company is looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specific technical support to project manager for projects;
  • Working with electronics designs to create new products;
  • Experience developing products for low cost, high volume;
  • Produce technical reports, clearly identifying the preferred course of action and why after the analysis of the legacy designs;
  • Peer review of technical reports, drawings and designs for safety, functionality and compliance with standards and statutory requirements;
  • Liaison with suppliers regarding supply and support of third party equipment;
  • To carry out all work ethically, safely and in accordance with the relevant standards and best practice within the nuclear industry;
  • Work with team of engineers;
  • Communicate with other department in an effective manner;
  • Providing technical support to the Team Leader for the proposed solutions offered to the customer;
  • Work to deadlines provided by the manager;
  • Provide a technical lead in specified areas for the team and the company as a whole;
  • Occasionally supporting the installation and commissioning of equipment on the customer’s site;
  • A strong understanding of core electronics;
  • Hands on design across Analogue and Digital Electronics.

Requirements:

  • Significant electronics product design and development experience (taking products into manufacture – full product lifecycle);
  • Designing low power for products;
  • A degree, higher degree or equivalent experience gained within electronics engineering;
  • Experience developing products for low cost, high volume;
  • Full lifecycle development from concept to large scale manufacture;
  • Exposure to multiple industries;
  • Experience of interaction between hardware/software using Embedded systems;
  • Hardware/firmware development;
  • Knowledge of high-volume electronics manufacturing;
  • The ability to mentor junior engineers would be useful;
  • Excellent communication skills to various stakeholders;
  • A strong understanding of core electronics;
  • Strong digital electronics design knowledge (board / PCBA level);
  • An understanding of ADC process on MCUs and how to scale and prep signals accordingly would be needed;
  • Hands on design across Analogue and Digital Electronics.
