Our company is looking for a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports;
  • Allocate work to subcontractors;
  • Ensure all costs are agreed and stay within budgeted costs;
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations;
  • Advising on Procurement strategy;
  • Offer advice on property taxation;
  • Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies;
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders;
  • Review sub-contractor applications and assess that the value that has been applied for is correct with work carried out;
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control;
  • Provide post-occupancy advice, facilities management services and life-cycle costing advice;
  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
  • Enable clients to initiate construction projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working on hotel, high-end residential or student accommodation projects;
  • Client facing and direct client reporting;
  • Relevant professional experience;
  • Use of computerised bill production an advantage;
  • Educated to degree level either in Quantity Surveying or a construction discipline;
  • Have a proven record on delivering projects within budget;
  • Experience within the commercial sector for a main contractor;
  • It would be beneficial if you have worked on heritage projects;
  • Strong commercial and interpersonal skills;
  • Take control of and manage from inception through to completion one or more projects depending on size and complexity;
  • Preparation of initial budgets and cost plans;
  • 5-1O years’ experience;
  • Work within a busy professional environment and as part of ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team;
  • To have worked on projects in excess of £5M;
  • Commercial management of fast track projects.
